What does AgentNotch do?

AgentNotch is a Mac notch app for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Kimi and OpenCode, with Cowork, Antigravity, Pi and LM Studio also listed. It groups tasks and worktrees by project and gives each session a context gauge. Each session opens from its row.

It approves requests from the notch; for OpenCode its page describes Approve or Deny without switching windows. A waiting question shows with its answer options, a finished plan can be reviewed in the notch, and alerts mark a plan ready, a finished task and an agent that needs you. Plan usage covers Claude, Codex, Cursor, Kimi and OpenCode Go, which it works out on the Mac from your own turns. Token History shows daily usage and provider totals.

It runs on several displays, with a switch per screen, and keeps a pill on screens without a notch. Session monitoring stays on the Mac. It is sold as a one-time purchase with a year of updates, after a 14-day trial.

What does Agent HUD do?

Agent HUD follows 18 agents, plus the GLM Coding Plan quota and approvals for the Qoder builds. Each display runs Notch, Simple or Dynamic, and Simple and Dynamic sit on any screen edge. On the HUD you approve, deny or always allow a request and answer questions, including those Claude asks in its desktop app. One click takes you back to the session's thread, tab or terminal pane.

It counts tokens by time, kind, agent, model, session, turn and call, with cache hits and cost estimates at list prices. Its iPhone and Apple Watch apps show quotas, statistics and sessions on the same network without a subscription; Agent HUD Remote adds any network, conversations, decisions, notes from your wrist, alerts and Live Activities.

Which one fits?

Check your own agents first: each product supports each agent to a different degree. The supported agents table shows what Agent HUD reads for each one.

  • AgentNotch fits if your agents are on its list, you work across projects and worktrees and want a context gauge on every session, you want OpenCode approvals in the notch, or you prefer a one-time purchase.
  • Agent HUD fits if your agents are among the 18 it follows, you want the HUD on a screen edge, you want token and cost history down to turns and calls, or you want quotas and sessions on iPhone and Apple Watch, with decisions there through Agent HUD Remote.
