What you see on the HUD

When Qwen Code asks whether a tool may run, the request appears on the HUD with Deny and Allow once. When a turn finishes, a New reply reminder appears. Qwen Code's sessions are in the session list and the statistics, with their tokens, models and an estimated cost at list price where the model has one, marked ≈.

Which account does it count against?

Agent HUD does not show one. It reads no plan or allowance for Qwen Code, so its usage is shown without a quota, and it does not estimate one from token counts.

Running turns and replies

Replies come from Qwen Code's Stop hook. The HUD does not show a turn while it runs. The release adds the Stop hook and a permission hook to Qwen Code's settings while client hooks are on, and removes them when they are turned off. Questions and plan approvals stay in Qwen Code. A request you leave goes back to Qwen Code after 10 minutes.

What does Agent HUD read?

The chat records in ~/.qwen/projects, or under the folder QWEN_HOME names, archived chats included: one usage entry for each model call Qwen Code records. No credentials are read, and nothing is fetched over the network for Qwen Code.

Branched sessions

When Qwen Code starts a session from an earlier one, it copies the earlier history into the new session. Agent HUD skips those copies, so that history counts once, in the session where it happened.

On iPhone and Apple Watch

On the same network as the release, iPhone and Apple Watch show Qwen Code's tokens and sessions without a subscription. With Agent HUD Remote they show on any network, and you can answer Qwen Code's requests there too.
