What you see on the HUD

OpenClaw's sessions appear in the HUD's session list and in the statistics, with their tokens, models and, where the model has a list price, an estimated cost marked ≈. Its tokens count toward the last 24 hours on the hover panel. Sessions without a title are named after the OpenClaw agent that ran them.

Which account does it count against?

Agent HUD does not show one. It reads no plan, key or sign-in for OpenClaw, so it shows the tokens spent and does not estimate a quota from them.

Running turns and replies

Not shown. New usage appears as OpenClaw writes it to its logs, but nothing tells Agent HUD when a turn starts or ends, so the HUD does not show OpenClaw at work and a finished turn brings no reminder. Agent HUD adds nothing to OpenClaw's settings.

What does Agent HUD read?

The session transcripts in OpenClaw's state folder: ~/.openclaw, or the folder OPENCLAW_STATE_DIR names, with named profiles, archived transcripts and the older Clawdbot folder included. No sign-in or credential is read, and nothing is fetched over the network for OpenClaw.

Turns run through Claude Code

OpenClaw can run a turn through the Claude Code installed on this Mac. Claude Code keeps its own record of that turn, and Agent HUD counts it there, under Claude Code. OpenClaw's copy is skipped, so the turn is not counted twice.

On iPhone and Apple Watch

On the same network as the release, iPhone and Apple Watch show OpenClaw's tokens and sessions without a subscription. Agent HUD Remote shows them on any network.
