Pi: quota, live status and replies
Agent HUD reads Pi's sessions and tokens, shows when Pi is working and tells you when it replies. Pi has no quota of its own: what you see is the plan that pays for its requests.

What you see on the HUD
While Pi works, the glow moves faster, and in Dynamic mode Pi's logo becomes its bot. On the hover panel, Pi's sessions are in the list with your other agents', each with its tokens. When a turn ends, a New reply reminder appears. When Pi runs in iTerm2 outside tmux, one click takes you back to its pane.
Which account does it count against?
The plan behind each request. A ChatGPT sign-in in Pi spends the same plan as Codex, so it appears as Codex's quota, and an account signed in to both appears once. A GLM Coding Plan key in Pi appears as the GLM quota. Kimi Code and OpenCode Go plans appear when Kimi or OpenCode is also set up on this Mac.
Running turns and replies
Live status and replies come from a small extension that the release adds to Pi while client hooks are on, and removes when they are turned off. It records each turn's state in a folder inside Pi's own directory, and a failed write never interrupts Pi. Without it, Agent HUD still reads Pi's sessions and tokens. Pi's tool permissions stay in Pi.
What does Agent HUD read?
Pi's session logs in ~/.pi/agent, or the folder PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR names, and the turn records its extension writes. For quota, it reads the sign-ins and keys in Pi's own settings; a key Pi takes from an environment variable is read from that variable. No key command is run, no sign-in is refreshed, and no credential is stored.
On iPhone and Apple Watch
On the same network as the release, iPhone and Apple Watch show Pi's tokens and sessions, and the quotas of the plans it runs on, without a subscription. Agent HUD Remote shows them on any network.
