What you see on the HUD

When ZCode asks whether a tool may run, the request appears on the HUD with Deny and Allow once. When it asks you a question, you answer on the HUD too. ZCode's sessions appear in the session list and in the statistics, with their tokens, models and, where the model has a list price, an estimated cost marked ≈.

Which account does it count against?

Agent HUD does not show one. It reads no plan or allowance for ZCode, so there is no quota to show, and it does not estimate one from token counts.

Running turns and replies

Not shown. Agent HUD gets no signal from ZCode when a turn starts or ends, so the HUD does not show ZCode at work, and a finished turn brings no reminder. Requests and questions come through a permission hook that the release adds to ZCode's settings while client hooks are on. Plan approvals stay in ZCode. A request you leave goes back to ZCode after 10 minutes.

What does Agent HUD read?

ZCode's usage database in ~/.zcode/cli/db: each request's model and tokens, with its session's title and project folder. No credentials are read, and nothing is fetched over the network for ZCode.

ZCode's own hooks switch

ZCode runs hooks only while its own hooks setting is on. When the setting is missing, Agent HUD turns it on with its hook. If you turned it off yourself, Agent HUD leaves it off, and ZCode's requests stay in ZCode.

On iPhone and Apple Watch

On the same network as the release, iPhone and Apple Watch show ZCode's tokens and sessions without a subscription. With Agent HUD Remote they show on any network, and you can answer ZCode's requests and questions there too.
