Which agent is waiting for you?
The edge of your screen tells you. A glow carries each quota, logos turn into bots while their agents work, and a hover opens a panel with the sessions waiting for you first. Requests are answered right there.

What the edge of the screen shows
- Glow: its colours follow quota use, green under 70% used, yellow from 70%, red from 90%, with a warning before a quota runs out. It moves faster while an agent works.
- Logos and bots: in Dynamic mode an agent's logo becomes its bot while the agent works, and shows whether it is thinking, working or waiting for you. Simple mode puts each logo in a ring of its most used quota.
- Reminders: a new reply, a quota alert or a request opens at the notch, or comes out of its agent's logo on an edge.
- Running status comes from the agents that report it: Claude Code, Codex, DeepSeek Harness, Grok CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, Kimi and Pi. The others still show their tokens and sessions, and their quota where the vendor reports one. Supported agents lists what each agent gives.
What a hover opens
- Quotas, each with its reset time or its burn rate.
- Balances, such as DeepSeek's.
- The last 24 hours of tokens.
- The sessions, those waiting for you first. A session opens on its own page in Statistics, and that page can take you back to it.

When an agent waits for you
A request waits on the HUD: a tool call to allow or deny, a question to answer, or a Claude Code plan to approve. Answer it there or in the agent's own window. Several requests form a queue, and each shows how long it has waited.
Agent HUD never decides for you. A request you leave goes back to the agent after 10 minutes, and the agent asks in its own window.

When an agent is done
A finished turn arrives as a New reply reminder with the session's title and the start of the reply. Return to session takes you to its thread, tab or terminal pane in one click. One click back works for Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Grok Bot, OpenCode and Pi, from a reply or from the session's page.
A reply says the turn ended. It does not say the work is right.

Several agents at once
- Each quota stands on its own, with its own percentage and reset. Nothing is added into one figure, because a weekly window and a 5-hour window run out at different times.
- An agent that is signed out or cannot be read never hides the others. The reason shows beside its account, and its tokens and sessions keep coming from the records on your Mac.
- Reading a quota never sends a message to a model, and accounts are read one at a time.
Quota, tokens, cost and balance
| Reading | Answers | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Quota and reset | Whether an account can take the next task | Only where the vendor reports limits |
| Tokens | How much work a session or an agent recorded | Not the quota left on a plan |
| Cost ≈ | What those tokens cost at the vendor's list price | An estimate, not a charge |
| Balance | What is left on a prepaid account | A balance has no reset |
Will your quota last until the reset?Where did the tokens go?
Away from your Mac
On the same network as the release, iPhone and Apple Watch show your Mac's quotas, token statistics and sessions without a subscription. Agent HUD Remote adds any network, conversations, decisions on tool calls, questions and plans, and alerts.
Questions
Does opening the panel use quota?
No. The panel shows what Agent HUD has already read, and no read sends a message to a model.
Why do I see an agent's sessions but no quota?
Some agents and sign-ins report tokens without plan limits, and some vendors report no quota at all. Each agent's page says what it reports.
Do I need a MacBook with a notch?
No. Simple and Dynamic sit on any edge of any display, and Notch mode draws a notch at the top centre of a display without one.
Can the HUD show how much is left instead of how much is used?
Yes. Percentages show the share used by default, or the share left if you prefer it. Colours and alerts always follow the share used.
Does a finished turn mean the task succeeded?
No. It means the turn ended. The reply says what the agent did.
